Partner, Data Protection and Corporate

Data protection, Corporate and M&A, member of the Toulouse Bar and Solicitor of England and Wales

Qualified to practice in England and France, Nicholas advises our international clients on a wide range of legal questions regarding their French activities. An expert on data protection law, Nicholas has a particular focus on questions of international data transfers, both within multinational groups and between commercial partners, as well as the impact of data protection issues on M&A operations. Nicholas regularly lectures and publishes articles on questions of personal data protection in France and Europe and teaches on GDPR courses at Dauphine University in Paris and Tunis and the Toulouse Bar School (EDASOP).

Alongside his core data protection practice, Nicholas works closely with our corporate law team to advise clients on their French M&A operations and prepare deal documentation, drawing on his experience in large international transactions, recently advising a Chinese corporate client on their purchase of a French manufacturing business.

Before joining Altij, Nicholas worked in the Paris office of a leading US law firm and in London for a leading UK firm.
